We have vareity of animals on our farm. We have Katahdin sheep which are one of our primary sources of income for the farm. They are “hair” sheep, which means they shed their wool in the spring. Our cows are Normande. They are bred in France and produce fine beef and milk that we will be using to make cheese. We have a couple of miniature donkeys that are guard animals for the sheep and lambs. In July 2013 we added cashmere goats. Though we will harvest the cashmere, their primary purposed is pasture maintenance. They eat brush and woody kinds of plants that the others don’t.
